Meaning of Personality:-
The stable distinct characteristic of any individual which makes him different and noticeable from others is known as personality in general.
The Latin word "per sona" (which means to speak through) is the root of the English word "personality." The masks worn by actors in ancient Greece and Rome were referred to by the Latin word. It was particularly relevant to the contemporary analysis of personality. In short, the simplicity purpose, the term personality includes:- 1.External appearance and behavior.
- 2.Inner awareness of self as organizing force.
- 3.The particular organization of measurable traits, both inner and other.
There are a few elements in Amold and Feldman's definition that require thorough examination.
- 1.First, personality refers to a relatively stable set of characteristics and tendencies of a person.
- 2.Second, it explains bath commonalities and differences in behavior of people.
- 3. It is the factor which helps to perceive individual by others.
Generally,
people considers good face, dress up, attractiveness, Lost are the factors of

Personality is different features. Different people never have same feature and treat in same way.

Personality differs from person to person. Personality traits of one person do not match with another.
4.Self-awareness:-
Self-awareness is major feature of personality. When internal opinion of person enters in to his senses, that person is explained as personality.
5.Behavior:-
Personality
influences on behavior of an individual. Different personality type person
shows different behavior. Introvert person shows less social behavior and extrovert
person shows more social behavior.
6.Whole Features:-
Personality
is an aggregate of whole personal features. It includes both
psychological and physiological traits. It includes all actions, behaviors and
activities of person. It doesn't include only conscious activities but it also
includes semi conscious and unconscious activities too.
7.Parmenent:-
Any person's personality is the enduring distinctive quality that sets him apart from others and causes him to stand out for a while. The set of stable features shape personality of person. But personality changes with longer period of time.
8.Biological Factors:-
Personality is partly in born and partly developed. Personality is outcome of biological factors. It contributes mostly to develop personality of child.
9.Modification:-
It
can be developed. The development starts from the womb and does not stop till
the person rests on tomb. Personality
can be modified for longer period of time through learning.
10.Measurable Traits:-
It
is described on the term of measurable traits that a person exhibits.

(a)Heredity:-

It helps to transmit appearance, body structure, temper gender and
psychological aspects to child by gene. They determine personality.
(b).Brain:-
Another biological factor than influences the personality is brain of individual. Though, researchers and psychologists have not been able to prove empirically the contribution of brain on personality determination.
(c).Physical
features:-
Physical structure of an individual also contributes
in his/her personality. Whether a person is as handsome or ugly, short or tall,
fat or thin, black or whitish will naturally influence the person's effects on
others.
It is considered that cultural factors influence more on personality than biological factors do. Cultural factors determine what a person is and what person will learn. Culture sets existing values, belief, norms and behaviors.It is transmitted by one generation to next. People learn cultures from their families, society and working organization. For example, la spirit of independence, aggressiveness and competition is rewarded by American cultural environment and Japanese culture encourages cooperation and team spirit.
3.Social
factors:-
Socialization also influences personality
development process. It starts with initial contact between a mother and her
new infant. The baby gradually goes to school, society and organizations.
Organization itself also contributes much to socialization. Socialization is related with
whole life.
4.Family
Factors:-
Family factors influence in personality
development. The child grows up in the family environment. Education level,
income, religion, nature, size and numbers of members of family influence to
the personality or determine the type of personality.
5.Situational
factors:-
An individual's personality
determination depends upon the situation. This is because the different demands
of different situations call for the different aspects of an individual's
personality. Sometimes, certain incidents may reveal the personality of that
person which was hidden so far. For instance, a timid and shy guy could act bravely and without thinking about his personal safety to save the lives of others.
